Georgina Point Lighthouse, Mayne Island, British Columbia

Made-up of more than 12 substantial islands, the Gulf Islands are interwoven with a multitude of islets too numerous to count. This distinctive island paradise of western Canada is a small taste of the Mediterranean, combined with a unique Canadian taste. The Gulf Islands enjoy under 30 inches of rain per annum. Lying southwest of the Strait of Georgia, along the coast of Vancouver Island between Nanaimo to the north and Victoria to the south, this ring of attractive islands is in the middle of protected waters, strong tides, and sensational coastlines.

Saturna Island and the other Southern Gulf Islands are an outstanding tourism getaway for the whole family.
