Made-up of more than 12 substantial islands, the Gulf Islands are interwoven with a large number of islets too numerous to count. This exceptional island heaven of Canada is a small flavour of the Mediterranean, blended with a unique Canadian style. The Gulf Islands enjoy less than 30 inches of rain per year. Resting south west of the Strait of Georgia, along the shoreline of Vancouver Island between Nanaimo to the north and Victoria to the south, this necklace of beautiful islands is in the middle of protected seas, strong tides, and stunning coastlines.

Mayne Island together with the other Gulf Islands are an excellent travel and leisure getaway for the entire household./p>
