Gulf Islands Guide Photo of the Day
Made-up of over a dozen large islands, the Gulf Islands are interspersed with a plethora of islets too numerous to count. This exceptional west coast nirvana of western Canada is a small taste of the Mediterranean, combined with a distinctive Canadian flavour. The Southern Gulf Islands enjoy under 30 inches of rain per annum. Lying southwest of the Strait of Georgia, along the coastline of Vancouver Island between Campbell River to the north and Victoria to the south, this necklace of wonderful islands is in the middle of protected seas, strong tides, and dramatic coastlines.
Gabriola Island together with the other Southern Gulf Islands are a terrific travel and leisure getaway for the whole family.
